LEARN HOW IT AFFECTS YOU

CRACKED, CHIPPED AND MISSING TEETH

The most common are trauma from sports, biting onto something hard, grinding your teeth and decay. If the crack or chip is causing you pain it is likely it has reached the dentin of your tooth. If you are not feeling pain, it is still important to have the crack or chip looked at, often cracks and chips can continue to deteriorate leading to extreme pain as it reaches the pulp of your tooth.

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

If you have chipped, cracked or broken a tooth it is important you book an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible.
In the meantime, place a gauze on the cracked or chipped tooth to prevent biting down and causing further damage, you will also need to avoid eating or drinking cold foods and drinks.

c

WHAT HAPPENS IF UNTREATED?

The cracks in a tooth can take months or even years to progress.
Teeth cannot heal themselves so if you ignore cracks and chips they will gradually worsen and deteriorate.
